CREATING THE PRACTICE
OF YOUR DREAMS THROUGH THE ART OF RISK TAKING
Most of us are not comfortable with risk. In order to
build the practice of your dreams and fulfill your ultimate
destiny, you must take prudent chances. If you want security
go to jail. All kidding aside this Coaching Tip is about
developing a healthy attitude toward risk taking. Avoiding
risks prevents you from solving problems or creating new
opportunities. Taking risks can teach us valuable lessons
Putting yourself at risk means putting certain things
you value on the line in order to live the life you want
for you and your loved ones Everybody has dreams, everybody
hopes for a better future and everybody has a good ideas
now and then. But not everyone dares to believe dreams
can come true, and most people never act on their ideas.
What about you?
To live your dreams are you willing to "bet the store"?
Not out of some gambling instinct, but because your belief
is that everyone deserves the opportunity to be checked
for Subluxation and to live a life that is connected?
In putting your self at risk you will learn how to transcend
obstacles. Risk taking is growth producing and requires
us to stretch our abilities to their utmost and then go
beyond. Risk induces positive change.
Talk to people who are risk takers and innovators and
you will hear this same statement over and over again.
"Everyone thought I was crazy, but I went ahead and did
it anyway."
Risk Taking Tips
1. Know that you will never be completely ready to take
a big risk. Perfection can paralyze us. But remember
nothing ventured, nothing gained.
2. Understand that
you will be criticized for innovating.
3. Be prepared to
sell the concept of ADIO to an indifferent world.
4. Challenge your
assumptions about risk taking. Is the risk more about
whether your ego can handle rejection?
5. Realize that you
do not always have to take a risk all at once or all alone.
Test market some of your ideas, and utilize your coach
and mastermind group for feedback.
Your Homework
Decide where you are holding, back, where can you innovate.
Know that people need you, and the time is now. Go for
it; record your name in our history books.
